W.C. Coleman – the individual who is responsible for inventing the first portable, gas-powered lantern over 120 years ago started the brand – Coleman back in the 1950’s. Those lanterns illuminated the first evening football game west of the Mississippi. And in WWII, soldiers parachuted into Europe with Coleman camping stoves in their backpacks.
The company continued to revolutionize the outdoors in the 1950s, and in the decades that followed, Coleman added tents, sleeping bags, lighting, and more products. After 120 years, Coleman gear can be seen on the trail, by the lake, at a tailgate, or in the middle of a music festival. Coleman is always around a place where there are friends, coolers, and campfires. So, grab a tent, fire up a grill, and pull up a chair. The outside is calling. Answer it!
